Summer Crider lost her hearing at age three and later received a cochlear implant at age six. Until age fifteen she was mainstreamed in a hearing world, but then she was exposed to the deaf community and entered Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. This is the story of a teenager's growing up in both hearing and deaf worlds.
