Northern Florida is one of the emptier parts of the state, as far as human population goes, and this series sheds light on the numerous activities and research projects taking place in the region. Many nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and small business owners have dedicated resources to conservation and appreciation of the wilderness found in northern Florida. Funding for the series was provided by Tall Timbers Research Station & Land Conservancy.
