News and Advocacy

Anyone may subscribe to the DCMP newsletter to receive timely, semi-monthly updates about new DCMP titles, promotions, and accessibility news from our partners and supporters. We also encourage everyone to participate in our awareness-building campaigns: Read Captions Across America and Listening is Learning.

Check out the DCMP clearinghouse of accessibility information for articles and resources about many topics, including the history of captioning and audio description as well as how to utilize accessible media with your students.

Training and Evaluation

The DCMP provides resources (such as our Captioning Key for Educational Media and Description Key for Educational Media) to help accessibility providers (from the beginning novice to the seasoned pro) improve their skills and products. We also provide voluntary evaluations to providers who wish to be included on our U.S. Department of Education–approved registry (contact info@dcmp.org to learn more about our evaluation for accessibility service providers).
