All kids feel hurt when they are ignored or excluded whether at home, at school, on the sports field, or within a group. Students learn specific skills to use when they feel left out, how to express their emotions using "I" statements, and how to take positive actions to help them feel better.

My students feel left out a lot of times in the general educational classroom. While other students hang out with each other, the d/hh students usually stand back and feel alone unless there is another d/hh student in the room. The video really helped my students see that they were not the only students left out, and they are not left out because of their hearing in many situations. The video was clear, helpful and entertaining at the same time.
