Accessing Your Streaming Video...

You can access the online video you have ordered from any of the places where your orders can be viewed (see "View Your Orders").  If access has expired, the "Action" column will state this; otherwise, there will be a link with the text "watch media" for that media item.  You will also see the item's expiration date and time, at which point, the link will no longer function.

No external application (e.g., RealPlayer, Window Media Player) is required to utilize DCMP streaming video.  However, your browser must satisfy the following conditions:

1. Javascript must be enabled on your web browser

2. The Adobe Flash Player plug-in (at least version 8) must be installed.

If you are unsure how to test whether these conditions are true, you may wish to use this online browser analysis tool. Once you run this online browser analysis tool, your Javascript settings are in the second table (headed "Browser Security") in the third row ("true" means that Javascript is enabled), and your Flash Player settings are in the fourth table (headed "Plug-in Information") in the first row (the number must be at least "8").

IF YOUR BROWSER DOES NOT HAVE JAVASCRIPT ENABLED, check one of the following guides to enabling Javascript, depending on your browser:

Mozilla Firefox

Opera

Apple Safari

Or use this quick guide to enabling Javascript from Microsoft, or this Javascript guide from Google.

IF YOUR BROWSER DOES NOT HAVE THE FLASH PLAYER PLUG-IN INSTALLED (OR, IF YOUR BROWSER'S FLASH PLUG-IN IS NOT AT LEAST VERSION 8), visit Adobe's Flash Player Installation page and download an update. (Don't worry about selecting a versionAdobe's servers will detect your operating system and browser version and provide you with the correct version Flash Player plug-in for your setup.)

If you do not have access to your browser's security settings or are unable to install the Flash Player plug-in, contact your IT or network administrator.

A Note About Firewalls...

Firewalls create barriers in order to prevent unauthorized access to a network. Think of the internet as a series of hallways. Firewalls are the security doors through which some people (i.e., data) may pass and others may not.

DCMP content usually passes through these barriers without trouble, but sometimes it is necessary to change your configuration settings.  If you are behind a firewall you may experience difficulty playing content from the DCMP website if the firewall is configured to disallow Flash Player traffic.

If you suspect that you are behind a firewall which is preventing access to DCMP content, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or System Administrator.
